Cake cutting typically takes place near the corner of the reception hall adjacent to the DJ booth, creating a comfortable viewing area where guests can gather in a semicircle while photographers and videographers capture the moment. Because the DJ position is already centered in the room, announcements and music cues for the cake cutting and subsequent special dances can transition smoothly without interrupting the flow of the evening.
